Talk:Visiting Professor Position at BYU

I don't understand how the last sentence logically follows from what is before it. BYU might be hiring someone (or two people), thus, they won't hire the visiting professor?--67.194.199.136 23:58, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

BYU will hopefully be hiring two tenure-track professors to start Fall of 2011. Whoever visits during Fall 2010/Winter 2011 will not be considered for the full time positions (if the hiring freeze is listed and we get to hire anyone). That is, how the last hire (me, David Wood) was brought in as a visitor and then received a full time position later will not happen in the foreseeable future. Hope this clarifies.
